What to Pack for Your Next Picnic

Now that the weather is warmer and the sun has established a more permanent presence, why not enjoy a picnic at your local park? Before you get started on your picnic preparations, Great Harvest in Spokane has some picnic tips to help you pack the perfect the perfect basket.

Pre-Sliced Fruit

Pre-sliced fruit is always a great snack idea, especially when you find yourself outdoors and enjoying warm weather. Start by washing and slicing your favorite seasonal fruits and packing them up in containers where they won't get crushed. You can also create a delicious fruit salad by combining your pre-sliced fruit and adding some nuts and honey.

Delicious Veggie Sandwiches

For a more filling option, make veggie sandwiches that are light but filling. Start by choosing your favorite bread, like Great Harvest's High 5 Fiber option. Next, slice up some cucumbers, carrots, avocado and goat cheese for the filling. Use your favorite dressing or spread to give your sandwich some more flavor and spice. If you're not up to making sandwiches or don't have enough time, Great Harvest in Spokane can take care of them for you. Check out our full list of sandwich options and call in your order.
